John + Renee could probably go on and on about the individual things they love about each other (there are so many) but they both are so thankful to have found the other. Before meeting each other, John + Renee both experienced different types of loneliness and uncertainty about where their lives were heading and what their purposes were. But when they met, it felt like they had known each other their whole lives and somehow they were just waiting to find the other for their real lives to begin. It’s not that their whole lives revolve around the other or that they aren’t complete without the other, but that their lives gained a purpose they never really understood before each other.

These two have grown into the best versions of themselves because the other person has helped them feel accepted, loved, and supported as themselves. They encourage each other to be authentic, support each other’s ideas + dreams, and they make sure the other person is free to be themselves, no expectations or conditions. Renee + Jon both feel that the other person is the one person in life that really understands them and loves them unconditionally – they’re each other’s biggest fan.

It was a joy to be invited to witness Renee + John’s beautiful day at Little Lights on the Lane in West Branch, Iowa. Some would say, “the stars aligned” for these two and astronomy has become something they both enjoy together. These two perfectly incorporated stars, moons, and telescopes to their day to make it uniquely them, their “us.”
