Jake + Kenzie | Intimate Backyard Wedding

When your relationship begins in 4th grade you’ve basically been waiting your entire life for this day! These childhood sweethearts have the sweetest love. The entire evening Jake + Kenzie had the biggest smiles on their faces because they were finally married, husband and wife. Pure joy!

Jake and Kenzie planned the most perfect + intimate backyard wedding. Just like most couples in 2020 they faced the hard decision of postponing their original wedding plans, but in a matter of a few weeks these two planned a beautiful wedding that took place in Kenzie’s childhood backyard.

Surrounded by their families, Jake + Kenzie said their vows, danced, soaked in all that magical golden light for photos, and smashed some cake in each others faces. (Because, hey, if you’re going to have two wedding celebrations you might as well take advantage of the cake smashing at least one time.)

This night was truly special and I’m so honored that I was invited to celebrate and document Jake + Kenzie’s intimate backyard wedding. I guess there is a bright side to these Covid wedding plans.. These two got married two months earlier than originally planned, and I get to photograph them again next year too!!!
